Typhoon Ketsana, or Typhoon Ondoy as known locally in the Philippines, was one of the worst Typhoons that hits Metro Manila. The flood that followed killed a lot of people and damaged a lot of properties. Fortunately for us, it was just property damage and minor damage. I've cleaned and sold mobile water tanks, so I'm used to hard graft and that was what was required for this clean up. A lot of our school books and clothes were damaged so we have to manually dry it using a hair dryer the next day. We also have to clean our backyard that looks like a muddy farm after the typhoon flooded it. This is one of our biggest clean up operation by far since it took us an accumulated total of 24 hours to clean up the whole mess. As a matter of fact, we have to file a leave of absence on our work the next day. We are still thankful that we are able to survive the said disaster, though.
I moved into my house two years ago and ever since I moved in one of the main things that I have ever wanted to change was the bathroom. Everything about the house was amazing, but for some reason the bathroom was disgusting. I did not have the money to work on the bathroom and two years later I still haven't. I have been dreaming about changing my bathroom now and more recently this big feeling has come over me to do it this year. I've always been into velcro products and I'd add some velcro fasteners to various areas of the bathroom including the shower curtains. I do not have the money to take on a big bathroom project, but if I did, the first thing to go would be my ugly toilet. The toilets color is pink and this is not desirable at all. Aside from the toilet I would take out the pink bathtub and replace it with a shower stand. The tiling would also be changed to something more modern and upbeat
